Special features of Modified Starch

TEXTILE GRADE STARCH

Used in textile industry as a binder and to increase the stiffness of the cloth.

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Uniform coating with bright transparent film
  • Uniform pick-up due to stable viscosity and neutral Ph.
  • Excellent bond due to more penetration.
  • Absence of foaming properties.
  • Absence of prolonged tackiness during drying.
  • Compatibility with other components of the size of mixture.
  • Stability towards decomposition.
  • Good tensile strength.
  • Good adhesive to the yarn.
  • Flexibility and folding endurance.
  • Resistance to abrasion.
  • Insensitivity to over drying.
  • Moderate insensitivity to changes in relative humidity.
  • Very low tendency to develop static electrical charges in case of abrasion.
  • Fast and ready resolubility regardless of the age of the size film for resizing.
