EXTRACTION

Our extraction process takes place in closed systems, allowing the use of the slurry itself and process water from refining step. Jet extractors are used to remove fibres from starch. Further the fibres are washed and squeezed in the fibre press. The pressed fibre is used as cattle feed. The extraction takes place on rotating centri sieves.

The high quality sieve plates made of stainless steel stand abrasion and CIP-chemicals. Our extraction is a counter current process, followed by a fine fibre washing on centri sieves. The process is monitored by supervisors.

REFINING

To purify the crude starch slurry and remove residual fruit water and impurities we use both nozzle centrifuge and hydrocyclones. Our emphasis on purity is an important factor and reflects on the usage of these two methods to achieve it.

The hydro cyclones help us to reduce fibre and slurry to low levels with minimum of fresh water. To save rinsing water the incoming fresh water is used on the very last step and the overflow is reused for dilution on the previous step.

By increasing number of hydro cyclone refining steps we achieve considerable savings of fresh water and targeted purity at this stage. Close monitoring of the process is done by operators and supervisors who are well trained and experienced.
